abandoned by disney, but not forgotten by us!

Hey everyone! And welcome back to countdown to Disneyland Paris! This is an early post because I have a busy couple of days ahead of me! Today we are going to talk about abandoned and broken down animatronics! The first attractions we are going to talk about! Are alien encounter and stitch’s great escape! Alien encounter was 1 of Disney’s most terrifying attractions! The story is about an alien tech corporation that wanted to show painless and safe their teleportation technology is! The demonstrate this technology they used an alien called skippy! A robot called sir who is very cold and manipulative teleports skippy from one side of the room to the other side of the room using their teleportation device! But everything does not go as planned! Skippy appears on the other side of the room, however he his burned to a crisp and in lots of pain! But sir doesn’t even care! He is determent to prove that the technology is save! And does not care who gets hurt in the process! The plan was to teleport us (the audience) to their headquarters! But an employee gets restless and decides to come to us! However things go horribly wrong when a carnivores alien gets teleported to us instead! The alien escapes and chaos erupts! But in the end the alien gets lured back inside the teleportation device and gets teleported away! This attraction was way too scary for some guests! Disney even put signs everywhere to warn guests! But this wasn’t enough! And guests started to complain about how scary the attraction was! So disney ended up making one the worst decisions ever! And ended up changing the story and replacing the big scary alien with stitch! The story was now that we (the audience) were going to be prison security guards in training for the galactic federation! Sir is now known as Sergeant and is lot more cheerful and happy! He welcomes us! And even cracks a couple of jokes! Even the 2 skippy animatronics make return! As 2 prisoners! One completely covered in something slimy! Apparently he has stolen some jelly doughnuts! sargeant explains what we are supposed to do! He gets interrupted by captain gantu, who informs him that a dangerous criminal is on his way to them! And that he is going to be teleported right now! We enter the theater! With seats all around a big glass tube (the teleportation device from before) and DNA guns from the movie, lilo and stitch! We take our seats and the shoulder restrains come down (this will be important later)! The criminal is teleported to the prison! And it turned out to be stitch! However instead of the cute and lovable little alien we have all come to know and love, he is rude and un likable! And he literately stinks! Stitch ended up using the DNA guns to escape! Which causes the lights to go out! Chaos erupts! Stitch takes someones hotdog and burps in their face (which gave a very unpleasant smell) and he jumps on peoples shoulders (which is actually the shoulder restrains going up and down)! After all this stitch ended up taking a police cruiser and escaping to disney! And ended up causing chaos over there! And we ended up being teleported back to disney! This attraction ended up being hated more than alien encounter! And entered seasonal operation! This means that an attraction does not operate all year! The entire attraction however ended up completely abandoned! This is where the the pictures of the animatronic zombie stitch came from!

Now let’s talk about another animatronic which has a pretty interesting story! Since this animatronic was abandoned for a long and then stolen! His name was buzzy and he was part of the attraction called cranium command! It was located in Epcot at their wonders of life pavilion! It opened on October 19th 1989! And was in operation until January 1st 2007! It was an attraction about the human brain! And was hosted by buzzy! Who is part of the cranium commandos! The pre show exists of a short animated film! In this animated film we are first greeted by general knowledge! Who explains why we are here and what we are supposed to do! Next we are introduced to buzzy a young soldier who is tasked with the most difficult mission! Piloting the brain of a 12 year old boy and get him through the day without any trouble! After this we enter the theater where we are greeted by buzzy in animatronic form! The theater exist of a seating area, 2 screens in the shape of eyes (which represents the outside world), buzzy on an articulated chair (on which he moves around during the show), multiple screens depicting the brain and other organs and  an animatronic Hypothalamus! Buzzy guides the boy through the day! From getting up, skipping breakfast, getting to school, meeting a cute girl named Annie, getting into a food fight at school during lunch, getting send to the principals office all the way to Annie thanking and kissing him! Through out the day the various organs explain their problems to buzzy! And in the end buzzy and the organs learn to work together! This attraction ended up closing due to los of popularity to body wars another attraction inspired by the human body! However the closer did not stop urban explorers from entering the now abandoned attraction and taking pictures! Pictures like these! I DO NOT OWN THESE PICTURES!!!! THE SOURCES VARY!!!!!

But there was some hope that buzzy would be stored in the Walt Disney archives! Because these tags appeared on buzzy and the other animatronic! Stating that they would be moved!

Disney even appears to do some maintenance on busy! Because on this picture which was taken before the tags were placed one of buzzy’s eye’s seemed half shut! Which indicates it was deteriorating! But when the tags were placed buzzy looked much better! 

However back in 2018 police reports started to surface stating that buzzy’s clothes and hands were stolen! But the next time that urban explorers entered they were in for a disturbing and nasty surprise! Even more disturbing than zombie stitch! Buzzy was completely removed! And it appeared that he had been stolen! It did not appear that disney did this! Since the wires and tubes were unprofessionally cut! And there was hydraulic fluid leaking all over the floor! 

Ever since this had happened fans of the attraction have one question: where and what happened to buzzy? Even I’m curious! And I didn’t even experience the attraction! Even though have loved to! Busy looked amazing! Next we are going back to something happier and I’m going to talk about another one of my favorite disney movies! But I like to keep it a surprise this time! See you next week!
